Ronald R. Emmons, CPA, CFE

Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Tulsa.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.  He is a member and past Council member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, member and past president of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners

 

Ron’s career began in 1963.  His experience includes serving as a senior partner with an international accounting firm and as a senior manager with a Big 4 firm.  Ron also has experience in private industry as the chief financial officer of a publicly held company.  He was managing partner of his own public accounting firm for over 20 years.   He is currently of counsel to Stanfield & O’Dell and consults on fraud and internal control matters.

Through his career, he has served many clients (from individuals to large corporations) in a tax advisory and compliance capacity as well as management consulting.

He serves as an Adjunct Professor of Taxation for the University of Tulsa.  Previously he served as a national tax seminar instructor for International Accounting Firms and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Author of various internal tax articles for those Firms, he has had articles published and been quoted in The Tax Advisor, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and other news publications.
